The elderberry or currant red elderberry (Sambucus sieboldiana) is a small shrub of medium mountains, leaves lanceolate and toothed. It blooms in April and gives berries in late summer. The red fruits are spherical, grouped in clusters and contain seeds oval, yellow-brown. These fruits are toxic. They are not considered edible. 1:
