The apical border, the black and yellowish-white are the characteristics of the butterfly 'Large White' (Pieris brassicae). It is beautifully showcased on the flower 'Centaurea' and the green background. A small border would have finished this cliche. Bravo for this decision and thank you. : 4:

The cabbage butterfly (Pieris brassicae) contains fifteen species in France. This butterfly is very widespread. The male stands out easily with the great black spot on top of the forewings. Its flight period extends from April to October in two to four generations. It is clearly shown in this photo now suck the nectar from the mountain centaury. Very nice picture: 1:

I think of Pieris as I did the same and that is what the pros told me ... But it's true they did not have the black spot, then more to come ... Anyhow nice macro.
