Author 'Ninik' A voir (Id 123916 ) : After Antwerp, going for a walk in the center of Tournai, one of the oldest cities in Belgium with Arlon and Tongeren. She has played a historic, economic, religious and cultural role within the County of Flanders during the Middle Ages. The photo taken place in Lille, shows a monument to the memory of French soldiers killed during the siege of the citadel of Antwerp in 1832.

Jacques, thank you for your comment. It is true that there were not many people when we arrived and then waited for the few passersby are awarded for taking the picture. The others were on the sidewalk behind me.

Very nice photo of this pretty town of Tournai. Asked on the Scheldt this Roman town was finally lost by France in 1713 by the Treaty of Utrecht. Thank you for having photographed the Place de Lille. Stay tuned for more photos. Regards. Marcel.
