There might be an angle that would have prevented to see the buildings in the background. Maybe even with a widescreen format (1280x800) you could have cut. The black horizontal stripes are useful in this case. : 18:

I like your picture, but personally, I would have cropped leaving only the branches of weeping and hiding the houses and at the same time preventing the light going to lose to the house on the right in the background! Well done all the same! : 18:
