I have the same at home and how I try to consume the fruit.

The yellow flowers of the 'Nopal' (Opuntia ficus-indica) are beautiful although difficult to photograph. The photo shows well the evolution of this plant cactée : bravo and thank you.

Try not to center your subjects. There is a lack of the net and some areas are burned. It's a pity without this, the image would be superb

IT is the flower of the Prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica). This cactée spread around the mediterranean and in South Africa. The stamens are very numerous. The sepals inconspicuous petals and conspicuous yellow color.
It produces an edible fruit called the Prickly pear, full of vitamin C. Beautiful shot

The cacti have very often flowers are splendid. Here, it seems to recognize the prickly pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) with large yellow flowers. This image lacks a bit of net and suffers from two flaws in my eyes : flowers are too centered and a lot of burned areas. But maybe is this a scan of a paper photo ? in which case this could explain it !
