This is one for raking hay (or sometimes straw). There is a seat and pressed the pedal to lift the "rabble" (or the lever is pulled depending on model.) The "rake" train to the ground in this position to make a pile, following continuous and uniform feed which then could be taken up by the press baler that was tied in small bundles. The customs vary with storage areas. I had two in my yard that just left in collections I've worked with before having the rake tedder. : 19: This unit was originally pulled by a horse with two arms, like many here he has one arm and adapted to the tractor. : 18:

+: Gypsy Excuse me, I can not see the photo, but the material: a rake rake (not tedder Marcel) to gather hay (dried grass) in windrows to be loaded onto a cart side panel to mount in the attic above the stable, or gathered around a "peat-stack" - lot of hay left outside after a "combing" and a cover - not plastic, not yet - to reduce the penetration of rainwater that would spoil the harvest. Each region has its customs.

-:Vines (abandoned or poorly maintained only?) And the rake did not have much in common ...

Thank you for identifying this equipment, I do not know ... tasks and equipment that no longer exist today.

It is wonderful that rake ... for large surfaces. I have known this. We must take care. Presented as part of the vine and with the evening light, it shines! : 3:: 6:

It is an agricultural machine which would be a good place in a museum: 1:.

Increasingly rare these farm equipment, it should be retained because they are part of our heritage. It is a rake-tedder, Marcel told me about one of my photos but I see thee informed. Impec my group trades old. : 3:: 18: Thanks Josy.

Marcel has already identified the equipment that fits well with its environment, a nostalgic photo.

It is a "rake-fanneur" used to harvest hay in batches before loading on the tanks that were then in the barns. It lacks the saddle and metal breakthrough was at the end of the flat iron at the center.
