20100505 Green lizard

Author 'Boucher Marc dit de Meilh' (Id 115645 ) : I spoke earlier about the photos of this green lizard attacked by ticks. I did not post the photo and then I do. We can realize the cliche expanding (despite a shortening of the plate) there is the unfortunate animal, above the paw, three beautiful ticks being to suck the blood ... How do to remove him without his jaw hang tough do not reach it and without putting a hit on the head. Because when it bites, it does not let go his prey ... Not easy at all. Marc. : 19:

Your photo is great, the lizard is perfect: 6:, damage there is the famous ticks: 10:. Me, I get my cats some players, I sprinkled with a dash of vinegar before removing the vinegar makes them retract it avoids leaving the head in the skin ... Not nice at all like manipulation, but I can not let my thugs with these filthy beasts. The lizard was unfortunately not in the hands of compassionate lady to remove them, he must wait until they are soaked, then they stand alone. Impressive size they can do when they have enough "eaten". They can carry Lyme disease to be cured on humans as in animals with antibiotics targeted or it may have sequelae. Thank you Marc for this shot as the other is beautiful: 3:: 4:.

Good evening and thank you for your Patjoe long comment. You're right, the tick is disgusting and dangerous. Myself, I'm bitten, sometimes by ticks when I'm taking photographs in the wasteland. That is not good, I assure you. I do not know if I have 'caught' Lyme disease? ... I hope not. From the grassroots campaign, I saw my parents of these animals covered wood lice. They are great when they are fed these vampires! You're super nice for the good that you think of my picture, thank you very much and tell you more if you wish ... : 19:. Marc

Poor lizard with nice reflections of neon on the head. Ticks are decidedly dirty creatures.

It's true these creatures are all land here, once, after hunting for insects and birds, I saw two on me during my shower. Marc.

Candy is true, these ticks are real pests! But it is nature, all need to find meaning in their lives and sometimes are forced to live on the backs of others ... We sometimes imitate nature, we also ... For the man tick can be dangerous for the lizard I do not know but it must be embarrassing if it arises as a parasite, a foreign body ... Regards, Mark.

Looks like a chameleon as its color blends with the environment. 4:

Indeed it is green like me, when I first saw it! You know, when I took a picture at times, it was almost fluorescent green, I could not really make these changes. That was it due to changes in light, I would not be able to tell you more. In any case, I wanted to capture this animal, reptile, and I'm almost there. Knowing where he lives, go back to his meeting if the nature, of course, wants it. Regards, Mark.
