2018 Spring at the Parc Tournay Solvay

Author 'D.marsim' (Id 241562 ) : As soon as my entry in the park I saw these pretty bells topped with a small green dot. After some research, this is one of the various varieties of snowdrop snow.

I will come to you Daniel, I went to see the difference between the amaryllidaceae and the nivéoles. The pierces-snow bloom at the end of February and are 10 to 20 cm in height. The nivéoles of spring are 15 to 25 cm in height and bloom in winter and nivéoles summer (the ones I found on the banks of the canal du Midi) are 40 to 60 cm in height and bloom from April to June. But they are part of the same family. Your pierces snow are without doubt nivéoles. If those summer they are protected, it should not pick.

I always do research on the Internet when I don't know. If I find good nfo I put in my Word file flowers by alphabetical order. And if not, I say, when I send my photo and nsaids sometimes a member may or may not help me.

It looks like nivéoles that grow on the canal du Midi. I don't know if it is from the same family as the snowdrops. Thank You Danièle.
