Author 'Gipsy34' (Id 184821 ) : The great crested grebe is a species of aquatic bird of the family of grebes. It is the largest of all the grebes : 46 to 56 cm in length with a wingspan of 75 to 90 cm. It presents a cap, a black short winter season. The back is dark and sides have glints of red. The chest, throat, face and belly are white in any season. The neck is long and thin, the beak is pinkish is long and pointed like a dagger. Photo taken at the pond of Olivet (53).
