242 The Castle Stalker

Author 'Briant' (Id 183782 ) : Here's a last view of castle Stalker with a very typical scotland, always by grey weather, this view is so romantic that I am letting go of this last variation.

Same remarks, as a whole, on the other view, but the framing is more rhythmical at the level of the reflection and the foreground, which we incorporated more in the shot with the touch of a reminder of vegetation to the left.

The landscape that you offer us I confirm my desire to visit this country one day. I look at this castle and I wonder what character the people who lived there grew. It had to be so rough and lonely as existence. Your picture is very beautiful.

A part of the character of the Scots is in correspondence with it (the relationship with this harsh climate that is Scotland) But it is wonderfully received in this country, if one wants to help, the Scots did not hesitate to bring them to you. There is a side very 'natural' in the reports.

I saw, while doing research (because it is worth the trip...) that it is currently a resort of a lieutenant-colonel since 1965...
He has good taste, the lieutenant...
Despite the weather gloomy, the picture is talking of this beautiful country with a thousand and one legends... super !

In fact, I read that also, he had to have the courage (and means) because it had to be in a very bad state when he purchased it.

thank you for this pilgrimage in one of my favourite countries : this picture summarizes very well one of the aspects of Scotland : its relationship with water. The atmosphere is faithful to the reality of this country where everything is often simple and rough.

This castle has never been taken (and we understand why) but this had to be hard to live in a daily way.

Thank you for the compliment, we have had to be present at this time and in this place, the camera did the rest .

a landscape emblematic of scotland, combining wild nature, lakes and old castles in a climate quite refreshing, (even if one can find landscapes similar on the west coast of Ireland), the rendering lacks a little oomph, even if this is due to a weather forecast of the so-called' white day ' not conducive to the image (or skiing ) can enhance in post processing the contrast, darken and increase the saturation of color ; the three photos are very close, personally I would have posted the one that I think is the most successful in terms of framing, for me, this one without hesitation ; it is a good exercise of critical look at his photos, which allows you to make progress, we forget that it is a spot essential to the professional photographer will choose the best photo among a series important or the differences of shooting are minimal or even imperceptible to the untrained ear.

I admit to not having been able to completely choose, I usually am not in this situation. For the castle Eilian Donan (coming soon) I will choose the different points of view.

Of the three photos, this is the one I prefer , may be due to the fact that the castle is not centered, it was not fine for a month of June , it gives a little more to be called the famous haunted castles of Scotland

It is beautiful this castle, alone, sitting on this beautiful and magnificent island.
