Author 'J22' (Id 28679 ) : To meet the general application (and have a little fun), here is the new version of my 30 x 40. Tell me what you think of retouching. The shot was made before a salmon wall with baseboard and tile on the ground.

It is an old-fashioned camera that I have ever seen,
Superb. The background seems too dark compared to the brightness of the device.

For the black, I was talking about encoding in hexadecimal. The first two digits from 00 to FF, this is the red. Ditto for the next two for green, and for the last two digits for blue. A pure black, so it is 000000 but if you pass the eyedropper on yours, it was 151515, so it's not a total black.

When the background is not uniform, as in your case, it is necessary to use the polygonal lasso and, especially, then use the drop of water as advised by clara1156 in this topic on the forum.

Is someone can explain me how to crop properly with a mouse that does not have the precision of a real brush ? Thank you.

Can you explain to me what is a black 0 and black 151515 ? This is simply the black Phtoshop 5. 0.

Hou la la ! What job to crop any of it ! And now, it's not a single stroke of a magic wand, it takes at least two ! Bravo for the result it's spectacular. By the way : I went yesterday to the store NICEPHORE, Ceyrat, specializing in older devices, this is the cave of Ali Baba... See his website.

This assembly, even if it is not perfect is much better than the first picture that you showed us. The cutout is visible, the clipping is a little eaten by spot the outline of the object. We can probably do better, but it is not always easy. Once again thank you.

'To meet demand' and you, don't you think that it is better as well ? In my opinion, one can still improve it. We still feel that the brightness on the device does not stick with the background. In fact, it is normal that your background is not a black 000000 but a black 151515 ?
