I didn't know that our friends from home, Pholcus phalangioides were referred to as 'split ends'?! Given your cruel and beautiful image, I find that they work as a group and get along very well for the bad shots ! No quarter for the wasp, and a good appetite ! I would have rather cut off above and below, but is not always what we want !
