This protea is beautiful !!! I dreamed of having a home, but the south of France can't compete with the climate of south africa... in addition, I confess that I have never seen one quite as big !!! Thank you once again for this beautiful photo !!! I do not know this little bird that pecks in... a variety of hummingbird ? But it is nice also !!! I enjoy it in your gallery... a pure moment of happiness !!!

They are surely much larger, these exotic flowers in them, as with us, if we have the same sometimes. She is gorgeous, I'd love to see it open too. And the little bird of paradise. Bravo !

Re hello Jacotte, I pulled out the catalog that I had been given the growers of these flowers from far away, at the booth of Courson that I had met, I remembered that I had taken their catalogue and I found the exact name of your pretty flower ; it is the 'Protea Neriifolia 'PinkMink', Phew this is, again, congratulations for this shot

Hello Jacotte, this flower is part of the larger family of 'Proteacea', you say,: 14: , there are so many flower found in South Africa ; I have had the opportunity to see one of these cousins at the salon de Courson, both surprising and beautiful, a nice size ; the bird also and it's very nice, beautiful photo of these two main actors of this picture, thanks for sharing.

Thank you Nicole, I knew that it was a protéa. It is the emblematic flower of this part of South Africa. We saw around large bushes of all colors.
