434 temple of Thanjavur

Author 'Denis246' A voir (Id 146121 ) : This photo shows the interior of the temple of Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu (India). This is one of the largest and most beautiful temples of South India, yet dedicated to the cult. Quick question: what are the canvases stretched on the ground where people walk? : 18: (I think I have the answer, which is hinted at when we are there, but who can guess remotely reflective). This temple should be added to the list of tourist attractions: it celebrated its 1000 years in 2010 and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage.

This is actually related to having to remove their shoes in temples, but this is not the only reason ... : 18: Following is the explanation.

Well, I wonder if this "crushing" is not meant to soften the fabric ... : 14: In the past, Iran, in some villages specialized in weaving beautiful Persian carpets, production was spread over the main road that ran through everyone, and the carpet were "broken in" to the eye, not the feet ... : 19:
