The la Major cathedral or basilica of Saint Mary Major (the Major) that evokes the East by its romano-byzantine style, is the Cathedral of Marseille. It was built in the second half of the Nineteenth century, between 1852 and 1893. Columns of porphyry, marble and mosaics, the interior decoration is sumptuous. This is the statue of Bishop Belsunce (1670-1755), hero of the plague of 1720, that we see, on the parvis of the cathedral, directed by the Aix Marius Ramus. Nice catch
