Author 'Cath' : Agave americana or altissima. BeBe agave (MOM is just side), succulent edges problem, which has suffered from some winters, which explains the abimees leaves at the base. But ca not prevented steps to please and be replanting a can, like MOM... It is in my rock garden South, near the othonopsis you know already.
