Aiguille du midi 2 Mountain

Author 'Randonneur' A voir (Id 12539 ) : Aiguille du Midi - August 2006: CP of the edge is the needle. We see very well the climbers (at least encordes by 2.) (This is mandatory) through the crete. We see very well that the easy part has some traps such as crevices on the left flank or the spectacular overhang of snow at the top of the edge. Misfortune has committed there!

But where are you hiker? : 13: It appears that you have disappeared from this site and it's a shame: 10:!

No, Annie, I have not disappeared: 4:. If I have somewhat abandoned this site (which are very interesting: 3:), it's just that I'm now engaged painting art. I still do some photos during my hikes, but now is mostly for use as models for my paintings. That said, your "it's a shame" goes straight to my heart: 12:. Sincerely: thank you to you and all visitors who appreciate my work (although I rarely do).

Then why not submit your pictures on the site?

I return to this image I like because it is synonymous with escape and freedom. I do not speak the technical achievement that seems perfect to me: 6:.

> Hiris [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jan 17, 2010
Superb, great art! Just a little disturbing thing, this other side in the upper left of the photo (which is "spot").

Superb and I see these photos. Photo taken from the rotunda of the Aiguille du Midi and sacred point of view! Good quality, I have money. Bravo!

One of my favorite pictures throughout the FEI website. The view is really impressive. The men seem lost in this vast but still attract the eye on hot spots (well so to speak). Nice to see as it was taken with a compact simple proof that the camera does not do everything at last!

> Duss >Reply Sep 30, 2008
Really like that photo. (I live in the Haute-Savoie next to Chamonix). A+.

> Mary >Reply Aug 08, 2008
Superb photo, thank you we have shown, and to make us dream.

> Selmon >Reply Mar 27, 2008
The photo is excellent by the movement to the left and the top and upper right corner, where there are 'arrows' geological directed to the left (back of the viewer itself and in the depth of the photo), the component with the peak in black close in the foreground accentuating the effect of mystery and haunting atmosphere, unspeakable.

This saddens me, it is the visual presence of men. This makes things a bit kitsch and 'tourist', and reminds our company of the incumbent and competition ! Damage. The snow-covered ridge was well enough because this ridge line alone suggests so much better a potential path of mystery and discovery to follow. It is better to suggest that any show and then back to the common and the ordinary clear.

Thank you.

This beautiful photo shows the sublime beauty of the mountains covered with snow and its hazards. The men look like ants and their survival depends on their solidarity and complementarity. Sumptuous photo : bravo Hiker and thank you.

> Evalias >Reply Mar 15, 2008
The view is exceptional, the men walk as on a wire and the mountain is always grand, thanks for this wallpaper of choice.

I've always had a soft spot for the mountain, then I say, it is a haven of peace.

Very nice picture of it : the highlighting of the key points of the panorama is very well successful.

This photo is splendid, congratulations. If I can afford it, the overhang, called a cornice. The photo is very beautiful and perfect lighting...

I will not do the difficult, I score it a 5/5 without hesitation, I would be very happy to have made a photo like that. The only fault I can find is not having done it myself.

> Forestier >Reply Sep 17, 2006
Superb shot, you want to go frolicking and pounding this fresh nature, please do enjoy.

it is true that she is beautiful. The snow, the mountains, the whole majestic. I would have wanted to be by your side !

This is the kind of photo that I am looking for a long time, I took this télèpherique to see it on the top, the dome of the mont BLANC, but at the time I was doing a little photo I note max of course.

> Randonneur [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Aug 21, 2006
Melisandlau, I thank you for your comment. Concerning the place from where I took the photo, it is not an ULTRALIGHT (I am afraid of the gear, and then to 3800 m above sea level the control must be 'sharp' - bearing capacity greatly reduced, turbulence, etc.). In reality I took the photo from the Aiguille du Midi (20 minutes by cable car from Chamonix, it is less risky than the ULTRALIGHT).

> Melisandlau1 [G] [P] [C] >Reply Aug 20, 2006
Lovely photo (taken from a MICROLIGHT), beautiful effect ; for the technique I am not enough expert to criticize.

> Kim [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Aug 16, 2006
But where had you climbed for us to make this wonderful picture?

> Marcel >Reply Aug 16, 2006
The framing is not bad, even if Rp is right. The characters give a good value of scale ! He would have had to face a little aiming.

> Rp [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Aug 16, 2006
Framed a little higher and a bit to the left, the glacier would have been put more in value, extended by the diagonal of the snow-covered ridge.
