Angelonia angustifolia in the Dominican Republic

Author 'Francis-Sisco' (Id 248348 ) : This plant which is perennial in central and South America, but as we grow in Europe, as an annual because it is frost-shattered. It deserves to be known for top of the massive summer because it withstands the heat, its flowering period is long, it lasts 6 months, from may to October, and in addition, it is easy crop. The flowers labiatae two lips are brought together in clusters in terminal : they have something which reminds us of both the snapdragon (Antirrhinum majus) and larkspur (Delphinium spp.). The colors are varied from white to blue, pink, purple or even red.

After 18 trips to Cabarete it is only by nov 2019 that I was able to meet this flower at the edge of a garden in a small alley in the dirt of a popular neighbourhood In addition, it is only yesterday that I was able to identify it with the word 'mouth of a lion blue'. The locals don't know their flowers and if yes, in Spanish but this is rare.
This is a great discovery for me. I imagine botanists or other researchers who are discovering, who are still searching to this day on our beautiful earth.
