Antarctic tabular iceberg

Author 'Videopoles.fr' A voir : Antarctic Tabular Iceberg Region Cape Adare (Ross Sea) Generally, these icebergs are flat, with a length of more than 5 times their height, resulting from the fragmentation of a mass of ice leading to the sea (front glacier ice barrier ...) An icebreaker is present (upper picture) and allows to determine the proportions of the scale!

Although making the iceberg to sink the Titanic (in April of the year 1912 in North Atlantic Ocean) was not as impressive in size, however, we understand better the reason for the sinking. : 4:

Of good ice, thick under a bright sun. I had not seen the ice-breaker either. Good picture.

It lacks the colony of penguins at the top of the platform: 4: The layers are clearly visible on the ridge. This impressive image has a beautiful light. : 3:

These really impressive icebergs, you feel very small next to them, and the icebreaker we are well aware of their huge size. Thank you for this superb documentary shot.
