Arromanche Casing Phoenix

Author 'Gede 14' (Id 206742 ) : The approach to the 70em anniversary of the Normandy landings, I present to you a view of some remains of the artificial harbour of Arromanches : the caissons phoenix. It is necessary to imagine these floating structures 70m long, 15m wide and 20m high concrete weighing 1670 T to 6000 T which were cast in an arc in front of the city and connected by metal walkways. They have allowed the unloading of more than 6,000 T of material per day. These boxes have been made in the estuary of the river Thames.

How many images are blended together-you for your panoramic ?
A few days ago, in a doctors, I saw an article on this technique. A panoramic is made up of 21 images. Great !
Thank you for this wonderful presentation Gede ! VG+

For this shot, a simple cropping to the correct dimensions. For the other 4 photos. I saw on FEI other photographers we make panos with very many images in 2 rows in height (Tintin, DD, among other things) The first difficulty is in the shot : aligning and overlay of the different views ; then, for the assembly, we are well served with dedicated software. It is possible to achieve these views in the vertical direction, of course. Thank you Géna, of your passage and implementation favorites.

Unusual angle of view, superb setting value of this landscape. Well sad vestiges, landing that claimed the lives of many people, pay their tribute.

Taking advantage of a high tide in withdrawal, I took the opportunity to approach me ; otherwise there were 2 artificial harbors with a total of 212 casing divided by half (I think) and therefore not easy to all meet in a very efficient manner in the state where they are. Thank you for your visit and put in favorites.
