Superb picture ... it's like on the slopes of the Bourboule or those of Peyre Arse near Puy Mary ...

: 18: These are pretty contrasting colors of the dress of cows on the green meadow.

Stop talking nonsense! These are the Aubrac cows (they have eyes surrounded by black), the Ferrandaise are white to brown or black. The Aubrac region is located between the Cantal, Aveyron and Lozere so we can consider this race as Auvergne!

I do research for a fair whose theme is' a day in the Auvergne 'and I love cows, I found this picture very pretty, so pretty that I'll put it in a binder for the show at the event.

I like the quiet side of the herd is waiting for a potential storm in absolute indifference ... Maybe the cows do they know that the weather will 'drag' else! ?

> FANCHESKA >Reply Apr 21, 2009
I would say simply that the cows and their babies are beautiful, especially very elegant. anyway I like this enormously farm animal. As native of rural France profonde. The photos are very successful.

I find this view super nice and relaxing, made plenty of views like this on other subjects, but also natural. Thank you.

The photo is taken, it is clear that it is a pro and cows are beautiful. : 1:: 3:: 4:

Sky heavy atmosphere and serenity of the flock ... Nice juxtaposition.

Then the cows (the maches, as my grandson), we pose for a souvenir photo ? Beautiful flock in the top of the Puy de Sancy. I find that this is the most beautiful place in the Auvergne region.

Very nice ambience. Even though I would have preferred less overlap of animals, I find the image very pleasant. Bravo

It was the right time, the light makes the difference. I like a lot !

Very nice picture, a little too centered maybe. It reminds me of the same experiences in my pyrenees. Thank you and

Lumixane, the photos of the Ferrandaise are on my gallery, and again congratulations for your wonderful photo.

Very nice photo with superb light and beautiful colors, good composition.

I also love this beautiful image and these beautiful cows. I was always told that when cows are lying down, it is a sign of bad weather.

> Christian barbier34 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 11, 2007
This photo is very beautiful and the lighting on the herd in the highlights even more. Bravo... These cows are not 'Ferrandaises', but rather 'Aubrac'. There is a beautiful herd of Ferrandaises to the village of LAQUEUILLE, I would take a photo tomorrow and put it on FEI.

Thank you for that clarification and I look forward to your photo of the flock of Ferrandaises of Laqueuille

The cow !!! I love the cows. Especially with their horns and for me they have almost all lost, and in addition they have a label attached to the ear. All of this saddens me... next time do a close up on their eyes because they seem to have eyes beautiful. Hat the artist !

What more to say, this is great, perfect and real in the landscape of auvergne.

> Domi [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 11, 2007
It is true that the light which is on the herd is gorgeous, and the background brrr, we can feel the storm arrives.

> Romaric [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 11, 2007
Ah !!! The cow !!! What shoot Anne, actually, the light is very well distributed on these animals, and this rough background really puts in value the whole of your photo, it is very successful.

The Auvergne... Haaa... The auvergne ! That of memories. I do not know which tributary passes Tauves, but during my vacation in 1980, with Gerard and my little brother, we had done camping in the wilderness. Every night, we washed in a small torrent of ice-cold. Finally... I washed my. Because, for the other two, it had to be the water 'taken by surprise'. You see what I mean???

This is what we can name a beautiful flock, but also a superb photo ! The sun was just where it needed to be, the top models did not flinch, everything is neat, this is perfect.

Great light, not easy in this climate ! You're able to be patient. Bravo.

I don't have much to say, it is simply 'BEAUTIFUL'. This photo is of exceptional quality.

> Clairebielande [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 11, 2007
A subject quite trite, you have made a beautiful photo. Despite the grey skies, the animals enjoy a good lighting and the contrasts are well marked. Finally, it is often the light and the contrasts that attract me in a photo. A big congratulations Lumi.

'More beautiful than the 'Montbéliardes ? ':18 that said, this photo is splendid and it gives a great atmosphere of tranquility and serenity. I love the look of the 2 cows to the left. As to the 'Gentian' it will announce the height of the snow the following winter ! The presentation is perfect with the shades of green and bluish and grayish background. In this landscape of dreams, the cows are the queens ! Excellent photo for my drop down menu ! Thank you Anne and thank you. :03:

> Author Lumixane [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 11, 2007
My apologies, I believe that it is, rather, the race ferrandaise ! They are only cows, but what are the cows... So much more beautiful than our Montbéliardes or Charolais, this is only my opinion !

> Marcel >Reply Jul 11, 2007
A snapshot of exceptional purity. The animals are lit by a beautiful light that precedes a storm. On these areas of summer pasture, it will be noted that the plants of gentians of which the root is used to make the aperitif of the same name. These cows are very beautiful, but are not typical of the Auvergne region, salers who are auvergnates with their garnet.
