She is very beautiful. It is the only one on FEI. I proposed that it be paid in
In a new classification 'avocet American'
Bravo James, where did you found ? Not the Pont de Gau ?

Beau cliché, it represents the classic posture of avocets in search of food.

Very beautiful bird in the photo is really very successful, the colours are beautiful, a pity that the exposure is slightly too far back on the bird.

Well framed, sharp, a little bluish on my screen, beautiful smiling gaze of the avocet.

I would see this bird in the Camargue for the benefit of a superb light.

Wader, ranging American avocet (Recurvirostra americana), long legs and a beak end curved to the top. The legs are blue. The wings are black and white. It feeds on small crustaceans, worms, and other animals that live at the bottom of the water. It wades in shallow water and sweeps up the mud with its beak from one side to the other, in search of small shrimp. Beautiful photo

Very beautiful bird ! I had the opportunity to observe but from a distance and really had no glimpse of its beautiful colors, legs and plumage. Bravo

It is really very stylish this avocet, its colors are beautiful, I don't know if her beak is very convenient.

This is a real question that arises all on a regular basis by anthropomorphism. A priori yes, the spout is convenient, because birds have beaks that are real tools to excavate the mud, trucider small molluscs, me to open my hazelnuts etc... Do so trust to the ingenuity of nature ! Besides, I've never heard a bird complain about the shape of its beak

With her amazing and long legs blue, this wader 'Avocet of America' (Recurvirostra americana) is magnificent with its colors orange brown and white and his long nose turned up. Bravo Jacques and thank you for the discover.
