Barfleur at low tide

Author 'Papou26' (Id 190289 ) : A rare photograph of the Barfleur, under the clouds (in principle, there is always nice). This greyness, far away to cause any melancholy, I just want to 'paint'... this table, by increasing a bit the saturation of the original image.

This view splendid would give me almost want to paint it really, but I arracherais surely the hair, as there are details. So I'll content myself with your beautiful photo/painting (in the straightening ). This is the one that I prefer.

Hello Golondrina, thank you for your passage and your comment, your opinion as a painter is valuable and fills me. It is true that I did not pay attention to level when shooting (the roll is probably ) I am happy that you found your happiness in one of my proposals.

The more I look, the more I find it beautiful to paint maybe one day I'll ask... when I have several months in front of me

Bravo for this picture, which reflects the soul of Barfleur. I know the corner because I spend my holidays in St Vaast. Colours chosen well successful. Hat !!!

Nice !!! Not that dullness is not melancholy at all, rather it gives 'a certain charm' to the 'package'. Congratulations. Surfer Upper Normandy 76560 Christiane F.

Thank you Christiane for this assessment. Barfleur, it is a different atmosphere in every minute of it and I have only one desire, and that is to return.

Nice 'array' of Barfleur, a town of edge of sea which I know well ! Bravo for this 'painting' as you say !

Hello Boxani,
Thank you for your passage and your comment. Beautiful village and beautiful region indeed and what about the colours varying in the rhythm of the day.

This image is well framed and a great composition. The treatment is successful .

Thank you Tintin for your passage and your comment, the treatment has had the merit to lead the shadows, you can see in the original image set of retouching that it is lightweight and does not alter the general atmosphere.

Good idea for the saturation... The photo is very beautiful really... The soft hues are very pleasing to the eye...

Thank you Namastah for your comment that confirms, if need be, my choice. The treatment has had the merit of the shadows lead were already... on my retina .

Very good technical idea, which makes this port a beautiful composition, cheerful and very pleasant to look at. Thank You Papou26.

Hello Monique,
Thank you for this positive appreciation. In fact, the modest technique used was mandatory, as evidenced by the original photograph put into editing, I thought it would be really too dull.

I love the composition of your table and the small touches of paint to bring lightness to the whole, and have managed to remain discrete.

Thank you Catherine for this comment. The keys 'paint' it, I played on the key saturation on the software used, so I don't have too much merit at this level .

> Charly [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jan 27, 2013
The composition is nice and actually did think of a table.
The increase in saturation is a choice, but with a little less you would have approached the watercolor effect. Attention to leaning to the right !

Hello Charly. Thank you and well seen for the slight heel, I'm a little too much reliance was placed on the lamppost on the left. Regarding the saturation, I didn't push having seen the predominance of red that was apparent. At least, this was the original image.

Thank you for your appreciation and best wishes in return to you and yours. In regards to this photograph, no treatment complicated, just a slight boost to saturation, as already said below.

Thank you for your comment. I will try to upload the original image, (forum ?), a little more dull, but the general atmosphere does not change and the overall colour is much the same. the
Reply of the Moderator: It can be put in editing not forgetting the Id 190289. I include the explanations with the topic below.

It is through a hdr application that I increased the saturation of the colors, because only he has allowed me to keep the sky 'in the state', that is to say, one of the unique photograph used. (other apps me the cramaient). It was not strictly speaking of hdr, as that obtained from multiple images for example, the set and the mirror effect are those of the original photograph.

> Diniaste [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jan 27, 2013
I like this photo which makes one think of a table, it looks like she has been gone through a treatment hdr

> Crabecanoe [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jan 27, 2013
Pretty picture on the water. The saturation of the colours gives cheerfulness and freshness to the boats. More than a photo it is also a picture very well composed. See you soon for other photos. Cordially. Marcel. The photo cottage a little to the right.

Thank you Crabecanoe for this good review. I have not had a lot of effort to provide for the composition, I believe that whatever the angle of view of this magnificent port, that gives something. In any case, this photograph shows the extent of my feelings

The colors pushed to give a beautiful effect on this kind of photo. It is also a matter of taste

Thank you Francis for your appreciation. I hesitated a little for this treatment, but the original was pretty dull and the impression on-site is not altered...
