Very nice macro photo, more depth of field is really tip top, not easy with a bridge.

I discover your picture by looking up the name of this insect, which intrigued me.
I am blown away by the quality of your photo, The sharpness is perfect.
It is almost to regret having a dslr basic.
And more this is the first time I see this insect posed. Again

As I arrive at the tail leu leu, this would be perfect if I could only say it but we need to align the characters... So, again, congratulations and I'll drag it into my favorites.

Perfect in the precision and the colors, only the rear wing seems to touch.
> Ninik [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 15, 2008

> Harmony >Reply May 15, 2008
I can only applaud to the sharpness of the front of this bombyle ! That is really fascinating, then, that the insect is very small, in reality !
> Myrdhin [G] [P] [C] >Reply May 15, 2008

> Le Fada de Marseille [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply May 14, 2008

Still a marvel of the genre ! I do not add it to my favorites because it is necessary to vary the pleasures and styles, but the heart is there !
> Pjl11 >Reply May 14, 2008

Your kit macro does wonders. For my part, I content myself with a windscreen 4d.
Proof again that with the bridges, we manage to do a very good job.
Can you clarify me the magnification ratio compared to my hardware ? In general, I'm a focal length of 200 mm with the windscreen.

I read in one of your photos that you didn't have a macro lens , can you tell us more or is that a secret .

I don't have to, strictly speaking, a macro lens but just a kit Raynox DCR250. In addition, when you submit a photo on EIF, the 'goal' is reserved for slr cameras, so I does not specify this.

I invite you to discover this bridge :
'As it is the case of a large number of devices from Panasonic, the DMC-FZ8 is equipped with a zoom stamped Leica. Identical to the FZ7, 12X zoom optic that covers a focal range ranging from 6 to 72mm, which makes it the equivalent of a 36 - 432mm in 35mm format. Its construction comprises 11 elements arranged in 8 groups, including aspherical surfaces to correct the distortions. Moreover, it integrates an optical unit movable for image stabilization. '(source Megapixel. Net)
This is a part of the secret ! The talent does the rest !
