Bee charpentiere in flight

Author 'Nicole.barberon' (Id 62643 ) : The bee charpentiere is the largest in Europe, since it can reach 3 cm, black blue body is covered with dark hair, wings straw-coloured remarkable dark blue. I was able to capture this large insect in flight heading flowers of abelia. Difficult to make a better framing, because I wanted to leave a note of color, and leave a little space right so it is not too close to the edge.

I did not know this bee, thank you for taking this photo which should not be easy, as you say, to take and comment

It is a bee which is very impressive in reality with the buzzing, quite a result especially when it flies above the houses to look for a nest...
I prefer them without problems in the photo that you knew so well how to freeze... In full flight... With your skill and your patience, the usual... CR.

It is an achievement of a master hand, and this with a lot of sharpness. 'Oh, time ! Suspends your flight... ' bee carpenter suspends his. This is a great sight. Bravo

This 'Bee chapentière' (Xylocopa valga) is darker than the (Xylocopa violacea), and it is called, for this reason 'black oversewing. His flight to the flowers is in a perfect diagonal. Bravo and thank you.
