Beech frosted

Author 'Jimmycool' (Id 189601 ) : A first test of HDR on a nice beech caught by the frost at the time of the sunset...
Photo taken with a Tamron 24-70 f. 2. 8 VC DI (not in the list of objectives because it is too recent...).

the country of stroumpfs is good since thou hast photographed, the country where everything is blue, no offense but these photos are not too much in agreement with you nick, for me, it's not very cool, rather heavy metal, vénere in vénere I'm an opponent to be convinced of the use of the hdr on landscapes, you, you are not gone with the back of the spoon ; this proves that the range of aesthetic sensibilities is very wide, you have the right to love, but you'll struggle to convince me

Far be it from me to persuade you...
I'm just amused to see how far would a soft hdr... pushing the sliders !
The rendering is not at all realistic, of course... Just spooky, to the 'Harry Potter'
And I understand very well that you don't like at all !

The problem is not the lack of realism, I have nothing against fantasy, I love the surreal, but fantastic can and should rhyme with aesthetic as any other photo, and the first question that you should ask yourself is : is that judge this achievement aesthetically pleasing ? First as a feeling, instinctive and then trying to rationalize and analyze your feeling ; and the question of generation, in terms of fantasy, my reference is not Harry Potter but Dali, Magritte, Druillet and Hans Rudi Giger (alien) fantastic very aesthetic !

Too strong a blue cast, which in turn completely mask the white of the frost. Look on the forum on hdr : there are a few tracks to the settings (link attached).

I find the treatment a little too pushed, the blue cast is probably too much, white behind the tree, to see with the specialists of the hdr... But it is necessary to continue the trials
