Birth Of A Cicada

Author 'Nout' (Id 183506 ) : I have had the chance to attend in July to the birth of a cicada. It happens 2 to 3 hours between the time of his exit from the shell (or exuvie) and the time of flight in order to give his wings time to dry and harden. It should not be forgotten that it primarily lived between 4 to 6 years under the earth, and that his life after only lasts the space of a summer.

The cicada comes out fresh from its chrysalis, and is going to start its life cycle. She has the chance to make new skin . Bravo and thank you

You moved to the diagonal, Renee ? Photo very interesting, the exuvie is pretty, the beast still huddled up, wet, softened, still needs a bit of time

Hello Elly, I know that they do sing (the males only) than when it is warm enough. So this summer, they were happy in Provence.
