(In Greek mythology, Charon or Charon (ancient Greek ??? / Khárôn), the 'nocher of the Underworld' (the nocher is the one that leads to a boat), was the son of Erebus (Darkness) and Nyx (the Night). His role was to pass on his boat, on payment of a toll, roaming shades of the dead across the river Acheron (or according to other sources, the Styx) to hades.) your photo would it be ? This ferryman of the souls through the haze, congratulations for your photo

Superb! : 1: Ducks have managed to escape the Grim Reaper: 11: So are you! : 18: Life prevails through this little animal world and the reflections of money they rise! An Oscar for the actor in the role of Death! : 2:

You took great risks to achieve such a cliché, I would never venture into this place with a fog as thick! As always your picture is superb. : 1: Anne and thank you. : 1:

I love these photos at the end of the night, with misty mornings, the moorhens and the fisherman in his boat in silhouette, I do not think it's sad. : 1:

Lumixane Hello, The last shot was not gloomy, but for the occasion. Of it come from the cold and silence a winter atmosphere over qu'automnale. A beautiful shot. : 3:: 6:

Without the ducks, I would have thought a boat with a pirate, escaped from a ghost ship !

Me who loves the mist for what it brings in the landscape, where I am served. There is like a a climate a burden to you. It is far from these aquifers nebulae. The fisherman and his braque seem to arise out of nowhere. Strangely, it is animals that bring a bit of humanity in this photo. Bravo.

The mist, the night, the fisherman, and even the ducks seem to be curled up. I love!!!

I think your series was carried out by full moon, in view of the monochrome contrasts and soft ... of course after "renaissance" again, or you set the bar so high that it is inaccessible, I wish I found this same flatness of the water that betrayed slow speeds ... An impression, at least as a result .. Perhaps one day, if you wish, you reveal the secret of this image ... : 18:

I have no real revelation to Julie: 18: A thick fog, it was still dark, the picture was taken half an hour before that of the boat to which you allude, from another location, the sun began to point vaguely behind the fog, the boat was some distance from shore, I zoomed sharply, which has focused tone and as I told Roland I increased the dark tones. To top it off, the fisherman, head down, gives the impression of being overwhelmed ... Thank you for the interest. : 5:

This is not about this picture that I wanted explanations, but the one from the boat...
The moonlight was it the one of the moon... ?
Ccomment is the reason for this shallowness of the waters without the slow speeds.. ?
The definition of the boat is also outstanding in connection with the penumbra of the moment...
Without post-processing, it is impossible to get such an image sensor... this is why, I would have liked to know more about the shooting conditions.
This fisherman is well, but does not have the same flavour.. , bravo

Ah ... ! The light was the sun, still very feeble, not the slightest breath of air, photo RAW sensor as I said ... I was surprised myself to the point that I wanted to attribute it to Didier. It seems that the detectors are alterations to thee prove. An anomaly ... If I touched, I do not deny it. : 18: See you, Julie.

Not even a small noise... ?
On your fisherman, we can discern the grain of the low lights... on the boat, it is smooth like a mirror..
after, of course, I believe you, but I am so much baba... Pass a nice day

Julie, here I am again: 18: Not even a denoising. When I reduce noise with neat image, you can see my pictures because are out EXIFs ... I do very rarely! Regarding this photo, I zoomed in fully, without feet, although I have one that I never use, which can explain the presence of noise, it was quite dark. For the other boat was there in front of me. Otherwise I sometimes tinker a bit with Picasa Photofiltre free version and when I want to put a frame or remove an item embarrassing. Any other questions? : 18:

: 4: Hello Anne, and well you know I will find courage to make such pictures, I think I would not be very reassuring in such an environment. The fisherman was very quiet. Thank you for sharing. : 18:: 19:

Dismal at will, indeed. It reminds me to Jacques Brel "with a sky so low that one day a canal has been lost"! : 3:: 4:

: 2: Always a color photo? , Is the spot of color on the aims, Captain Ahab, always in pursuit of Moby Dick, was lost on the lake, how it got there? Too long to tell you (drawn by a Canadair ...: 19:) no chance of finding the whale but it may go a huge catfish rail, whale fresh water, less gloomy than the last, but I is all a bit dark, I go back a little brightness and maybe increase the contrast, all alone on his boat, he has no keys, it will find the time long unless that He says the Coot.
