Author 'Cath' A voir : The first butterfly I was photographing! I think it is a success and I am very proud of me... I did not know that it was so beautiful... There is always that the wings, but their body is superb... This should inspire our makers of miracles, those montages photos... Non?

Gena, to answer your question, I think they are flowers of sagebrush!

I think your photo is lovely, Cath. The colors are well in harmony, these shades of beige and brown, I like it a lot. Congratulations for having managed to photograph it. At my stage, I find that this is a matter of the feat. Congratulations ! Continues.

Congratulations Cath, this is far from being flawless, but you're going to have the time to learn. If you want, I can take you back, to bring out the body and wings. But it is well photographed this pipaillon !!!

Very beautiful photo, the colors are in harmony. He has a hell of a 'hangover' this butterfly, they are rarely seen from this angle, so again congratulations for this shot !

It's ace you need a good dose of patience, it looks like it took the pose. We see clearly his body, it is true that often I admire the wings, not the body

Bravo to the Author, this first butterfly that you can photograph and to be a success and I am very proud of you me too... I knew that it was beautiful... We do not always see that the wings and antennae, their bodies are beautiful ??! ... I will not tell it me their eyes are hyper-efficient : they see colors in a much different way compared to our eyes...

The wings light brown to orange-brown with various black and white spots are the characteristic of the butterfly 'Beautiful Lady' or 'Vanesse du chardon' (Cynthia cardui or Vanessa cardui). It is very common in the prairies and flower-filled gardens. Here, it is placed on the flower of a Wormwood, the well-named Cath, that I thank. Beautiful set for an interesting and beautiful photo.

I didn't know you were a butterfly expert, Cath. For a first the talent was present because you have been able to seize the moment where the butterfly is stabilized. Well.
> Paparazzi34 [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jun 10, 2006
It is sure that it is not easy to photograph, the photo is very beautiful.
> Ellen52 [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 10, 2006
Very nice you have good reason to be proud of, because when we know the time it takes to find the butterfly, the flower and the photo is successful. Again, congratulations to the champion.
