Butterfly Flake 19632

Author 'Cath' (Id 160562 ) : After much research, I think that this moth is the family of butterflies Scale and Scale is the nearest farm or Arctia villica. The difference is the reversal of colors. Mine is black spots on white background while the scale farmer is white spots on black background. Is this the same moth ... or his cousin! If a kind soul informed me can answer, it would be nice.

Thank you for your comment, Ninik and you are right, it looks like the ermine robes of the English courts ... I had not made the connection, but it is quite accurate.

Thank you very much for your explanations, light ... you're a love ... So, I went on google and yes, I also think that this butterfly is modest Scale (funny name for a butterfly ... is he shy?: 18:). His full name is Arctiidae Cymbalophora pudica. The scales of butterflies are often toxic, their contrasting colors repel predators. They feed on grasses and succulents. Well, thanks to you, light, we know more about this butterfly Courreges (black and white!: 19:). Big hugs and thank you again.
