This is actually the butterfly Robert-le-Diable (Polygonia c-album). It has wings on a background of bright orange, very cut. It occurs as soon as the first sunny days of February to the end of November. He's also fond of clearings and edges. Here it is resting on the flowers of verbena Buenos-Aires. Nice catch

The light and colours are beautiful. The colored background is attractive ; in my opinion, the more blurred it would have given more strength to the picture.
