I have no expertise in photo, but the symbolism of this picture I like: the start to all possible ... Your gallery is a delight. Thank you.

The moment is seized by the moment when the bird starts, it is still in the depth of field, the very dark background perfectly off the bird, you may just regret the killing highlights the details of plumage but the rear view is singularly successful!

1: Your image is beautiful, well framed, with a beautiful attitude of the bird. The light contrast is very well managed. I had a D70 for a long time, but I do not have operated as well as what you show us in your gallery. Well ok, I did not have exceptional optical (Rest assured as it may 20:). And thank you for your explanations on the forum for achieving this image. : 18:

Thank you all for the attention paid to this photo. Should we see here the importance of the moment chosen, "the highlight" in the quality of the final result? Personally I am absolutely convinced. It is like lightning in a stormy sky: is it that everyone should try to fix. I say again and for years it is futile to believe that shooting burst, luck or chance we can help achieve this. Even if by some miracle that happened you would be impossible in these conditions to control the framing, the composition of your photo that can only be the fruit of your desire, your culture and your sensitivity. So how to increase his chances of capturing the famous "downbeat"? I think at this stage of thinking it would be good on the Forum, to compare the experiences of each individual to identify some advice. If you said, you know what you have to do!

You're right, a correction in white would have made more. Glad I managed to capture the highlight of the flight, I have seen that this result, and the parties Surex on the bird rose to the door! A fine example of the importance of the gaze of others. Thank you for that.

Superb! You have managed to freeze soaring gull with fluency and clarity. A photo in my view, difficult to achieve. The frame is top, and the perfect presentation. : 3:
