Author 'Gilbair' (Id 239321 ) : On the island of Mauritius, outside of turtle doves zebra, sometimes we see 'doves of Madagascar' (Streptopelia picturata) in the dress of slate. Not more endemic than the doves zébrèes as their nickname indicates, they are protected on the island of the Meeting. Much larger than the zebra and the less familiar they end up being less shy when there's something to peck at. This is what happened in this case where a few small crumbs of bread (ok this is not necessarily eco-friendly) we finally get close and make 'buddy-buddy' with doves zebra.
