Cetoniinae gold on a rose

Author 'Ondine' (Id 147870 ) : While walking in the garden, I found two that rose chafer rose petals that seemed to sleep. I picked up my camera and I gently removed the petals to expose this beautiful insect in the sun time to take her picture. She moved slowly, filed a small offering colorful and flew at once! : 18:

: 1: What a joy you must have felt able to take this flower beetle iridescent colors: 5:. It looks like a pin-jewelry on these delicate petals. Ondine, you have a true gift to highlight your garden of insects with your macro so clear and well framed! : 6:: 3:: 2:

: 4: Thanks for your appreciation and your favorite set of the Scarab, I think they look like jewels, their flight is clumsy. : 6:

I have only just occurred to me. Given the magnitude of the petals, it is this very small insect! Famous macro, neat and well presented. Bravo. : 1:

: 1: I do not know the name, or I forgot. What a beauty with this metallic color, beautiful. This is the name you give to the beetles that are brown and black-white striped, which is all-in-fact another species? I think he has the color changing here. Ondine thank you for this great catch! : 5:: 6:

: 5: Thanks Elly twice, for your comment and put in your favorites: 6: The beetles are insects different and much larger and longer, but it must belong to a family relative can be: 13:: 5:

That's what I thought, Ondine. I've never seen before, these Cetonids. I can not estimate the beast here on the flower, but I can imagine it is much smaller than the beetle. It was just the legs and antennae of the same genus as the beetle. Glad to know it anyway and I hope to see one of these beautiful, colorful metal! : 5:: 6:

: 5: To give you an idea, this Scarab is about 15 to 18 mm long, maybe 20 but I do not think so. Cetonids the fatal sisters, much less beautiful, are still much smaller: 18:

It is therefore 1, 5 - max. 2 cm. Yes, I also think it's smaller than the beetles. While in Switzerland, they were not always great either. You may be bigger in the south. I have not seen for many years. Ondine thank you for the explanation. Hugs. : 6:: 6:

A matter of choice, Cetonids not all as bright colored as: 2: Superbly development on this natural white background which gives depth to the image: 5: Very little here Cetonids compared to previous years .

: 5: So we are lucky to have, it's true they are pretty much more than their sisters, the fatal Cetonids: 18: They are very nicely decorated, but some damage too! Anyway, in our garden, they do not risk anything, but do not they go to the neighbors: 13: Thanks for your comment and formatting your favorites: 6:

I think it would be better than our few Cetonids do not go to the neighbors either, from the pros! : 13: At home they are safe.

: 18: Mireille Nope, I think the fact that I discovered and shot him closely enough and it just scares before flying it dropped a little something not very nice. .. damage, then this picture was beautiful! : 13: Thanks for putting it in your favorites: 6:

I have not seen this season! Well here it is cliché, the shell is clear and properly exposed (no bad reflections. Rendering white petals is excellent and gives the impression of soft cushions that welcomes Scarab: 18: Very nice shot, Ondine: 3 :

I was wondering if all macro photographers spent their time lying flat on the grass to photograph such beautiful creatures, but you did not need to do: 18: and it is still a success of this beautiful Scarab and he hath easy task in those white petals: 18: nice pic: 1:

+: It is very well this golden flower beetle, sharpness is good and the colors.

-:A crop by cutting a strip on the left would be even better.
