Chaumiere Saint Degan Brech Morbihan

Author 'Nicoledesplat' (Id 221054 ) : On the occasion of a celebration held at the Saint Dégan Brech (Morbihan), we were able to visit a few cottages equipped with antique furniture including this one and curious to know a little more I got closer to the well that stood before dating him in the 17th century.

I had to make the roof thatching, to renovate old farmhouse, everything is to be done inside and outside to create, not easy on Auvergne region, it's very expensive work !!!

Beautiful ty may be framed a little too tight but that shows the harshness of the granite used to build them... Far from being a 'home sweet home', these houses will try in the land or fishing close to the shores and ports accounted for their only property for those who had been fortunate enough to inherit from their parents...

Witches what a funny d' , it is true, however, that in some of the cottages, I didn't like personally I find there only one, why, I don't know how to say, the inside of these are sometimes a little much gloomy and so little comfort ; but are worth to be seen ; it is thus that we can best realize the hardness of life in the countryside of our ancestors, this is also the reason why a lot of them have left the countryside for the city , thank you Chouna for your comment not so fake in any way.

Very nice sharp picture and well framed. This thatched cottage with its thatched roof, its blue shutters and its old well, still has plenty of charm. and good luck for the contest.

It has a charm this cottage. I see its occupants to sit on the bench, in the evening, and talk about everything and anything... things of the present life... yes, a cottage, simple but definitely rich in its past. I love it ! Thank you for this shot.

It is simple but tidy. I see several shades in the thatch, it is probably repairs or different times of exposure. The brightness and sharpness are good, .

It's funny, I made the same reflection we feel the band-aid I understand given that I guess that all of these cottages are open in this town (I say town instead of village) to the public are certainly part of a small association provided for the safeguarding of the heritage, and that the entrance was really very inexpensive ; thank you for your passage in Joel

I am amazed that there are still a number of these beautiful homes because even if the maintenance of the thatched roof that needs to be done every ten years (I read this somewhere), they give them all the same, lots of charm , thank you Josy for your comment
