Author 'Myrdhin' : Temple of the warriors at Chichen-Itza, photo taken from the platform of the castillo that I had the chance to be able to climb... Because it prohibits the public from this year. A humidity and a heat Abominable.. November 2005 (Olympus c-310 zoom).

It is this magnificent monument and still well preserved. The entrance to the temple of warriors, which is built on a pyramid is bounded by two magnificent pillars, ended at the base by two huge heads of snakes and preceded by a Chaac-Mool: this strange character is carved in stone in a half supine position and resting on the elbows, so that it maintains on its belly a tray to receive the offerings made to god (the hearts of sacrificial victims). Near the temple of warriors stands the temple of a thousand columns, each being cut in the shape of a plumed serpent. Beau cliché of a Historic Site.

Not the descent on the legs but I had a hard time walking on land.

Hey ! I took the same in the same place but not at the same time (for me, it was in the dry season, the grass was more yellow). Very nice... In fact the descent, on the 'buttocks' or not ?

It is sometimes better to disallow certain things if one wants to preserve the sites, it is comparable to Lascaux and/or the Parthenon.
