Author 'Ninik' A voir (Id 81252 ) : Coltsfoot - These are among the first wildflowers to bloom here in Belgium. Last year I had already posted these flowers but I was told to "start over", what I have done, and I hope that the result is better. (see id. 57313 and 57360) These flowers, also called not-d'âne have medicinal virtues, against cough (as its name suggests).

Thank you Gena. Too bad the stems are so short. When I said they relieve cough, I speak from experience. I drank herbal tea and it works.

A beautiful presentation for this small bouquet of yellow flowers, they are sharp. Jolie photo.
> Le Fada de Marseille [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 29, 2009
The coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) is a creeping plant, tapissante fairly hairy and brown wool, with erect flowering stems in clumps. The leaves grow after flowering, they are rounded, cordate at the base, blackish on top teeth, green above and whitish below tomenteux. The yellow flowers in flower fall gradually to fanaison. They are beautifully enhanced in this picture with a beautiful clarity. Beau cliché: 1:: 6:
