Author 'Nicoledesplat' (Id 135187 ) : This is an episode of the War of Succession of Brittany (1341-1365) between the partisans of Jean de Montfort ("Monforte) and those of Charles de Blois (" Blésistes). Duke John III died without issue. Both candidates claim to the estate: on one side, under the custom of Britain, his niece, Jeanne Penthièvre, married to Charles de Blois, on the other, according to the laws of the kingdom of France, his half-brother Jean de Montfort. The King of France Philip VI, vindicating his nephew, Charles de Blois. The king of England, Henry III himself pretender to the throne of France, argues the other side. Montfort died in 1345. Edward III takes hold of the regency of the duchy to the son of Jean de Montfort, who was six years Charles de Blois attempts to repel the English, but he is beaten nearly Cadoret Lanouée Forges (1345) and the Roche-Derrien (1347) where he was taken prisoner. Blésistes and Montfort are a war without thank you.

Bel square granite obelisk that recalls a page of history of Morbihan where clashed cons of Breton knights of the English ... Interesting accompanying commentary. Beautiful image of this column 17 meters high ... to the glory of our knights. : 1:: 6:
