Cooking in the bush Senegal

Author 'Ninik' (Id 191266 ) : The kitchen is reduced to its most simple expression.
Large vessels containing the food are cooked on these utensils black containing the fire.
No dishes, as all the world eats by dipping the hand in the dish.
(When we were invited to the home of the mother of our friend, we had a spoon).

One might believe, seeing the kitchen, the dishes are a little crack in the tooth with the sand, but no. For casual visitors the tourista can occur but we who dwell in a similar area we were immune.
I love this photo that takes me back a few years back.
They are cute these chicks that can be found everywhere in Africa, close to the boxes. The sky lacks a bit of color, but if the time is correct it is a bit normal.

Beautiful composition of this cuisine in the bush which reminds us of the time when our grand mother and mother had not the facility that we know today

This photo reminds me of good memories,
I went 2 times in Senegal, and I loved the bush... and its inhabitants.

and the hens and chicks pick up what has fallen to the side of the pans, before go to pot, too : nothing is lost. Thank you Ninik, for this beautiful photo testimony : no over-consumption, or of waste. I put it in my supply of wallpapers to help me put into perspective !!!
