Coot 20101012 Common coot

Author 'Crabecanoe' (Id 129232 ) : Tuesday, October 12, 2010. Park Slide to AIRCRAFT (62). A coot recognizable by its white faceplate. On this picture we can see the legs of gallinaceous. It has the same legs (larger) than the moorhen but with additional membranes between the three fingers. This helps considerably in their swimming is less choppy than the moorhen. The eyes are red and it's a pretty bird alive. He lives in groups of up to one hundred individuals, sometimes in isolated pairs.

: 1: Judy Thanks for appreciating and noted that cliché. The coots are quite fearful. But here in Park Slide they were over a hundred mixed with swans and geese. Like them they were expecting a little piece of bread. Stay tuned for more photos. Friendships. Marcel

: 1: Marcel, the Coot is splendid. What a pleasure it must be able to box, and not "pot" ... : 19: Thanks for sharing.

: 4: Hello Marcel, I like those little birds with their feet that their oversized paws that allow them to walk on water. They are "speed" and are even stealing the bread into the nose of my Mandarin! Beautiful shot. See you soon.

: 1: On this day at Slide Park were more than a hundred. It was not easy to photograph a single coot. In addition they have a very high frequency because they are always moving. Thank you for appreciating this picture and see you soon for others. Friendships. Marcel

: 1: Thanks for appreciating the Cree and noted that photo. The front plate and the spout are white, but the coot is a bird in perpetual motion. It is true there is a contrast between the white beak and the body is black. Maybe also a problem with white balance. Stay tuned for more photos. Friendships. Marcel

It is true that the coot is very recognizable! Nice photo ... I wonder if the head is really clear ... : 12: I see the beak a little blur, feathering, it is impeccable: 18:
