Corfu 189 copy Olive

Author 'Sailor' (Id 94375 ) : The olive trees on the island of Kerkira, are still different from those in the south of France, their trunks are gnarled, but they are also cracked. With its trunk carved by age and fleece of silver and evergreen, this tree exceeds potentially legendary longevity oak. Unfortunately, it is not possible to know the age of an olive tree with certainty. Dendrochronology can not be used on an olive tree stump. This species does not have growth rings clear and individualized. The age of an individual can therefore only be an estimate based on indirect evidence - diameter, aspect, historical documents.

Partial view too, it would have taken just a step back and then a real close.

Very nice presentation and thank you for the explanation. However, I would not cut the trunk of the olive tree on the left ...

The trunks of 'Olives' is still crooked but every year it produces beautiful and good olives. A broader plan would have really liked. Belle development, however these trees. Bravo and thank you Sailor. : 3:
