Author 'Jcmai' (Original: Fredericcabrera11) : What bothers me in my first touch there is a lack of harmony question-color tunic of Jesus is too dark and the grass of the feeder is too green (that is patch). I cleared the two separate ways. In this new version of the coat color is almost the garment of the Virgin and the grass of the trough approaches the color of moss. I think that these 2 details make a certain gentleness to all and the Christ Child could be the original.

I compare your two alterations, we are dealing with a perfectionist! I am amazed ... Your attention has focused on the Infant Jesus, the result is optimal, it might be interesting to erase the end of mutton cut left and I think the shepherd's foot is a bit cramped. No author, no editing possible, I do not forget: 18:

Anne's true, I concentrated on the Infant Jesus and the central protagonist, and even then I still regretted not being able to make the effect of the spot, which should inform the Child laterally.

Viviane thank you for your nice comments, the challenge was to reconstruct the hidden by the green paper around the flowers, the Child Jesus was what I had approached more as a character. Same for the nursery at the station of Metz (among my first photo) there was no Jesus, I added a shot in a chapel and after reconstitution of the feeder. In fact it is mostly a matter of patience!

Thank you I photographed this crib in December, but there was no lamp burning, my picture is made with flash, this is not the same, so I reworked that.

Thank you, I'd be curious to see the crib with the original Jesus. I saw her without a child (when I was at the Christmas market in Strasbourg, it's definitely worth: I was there during the week on a sunny day), I photographed the empty crib, lamp left was not lit my picture is made with flash and has the charm of this.
