It's fun to see them come back up a camera 7 years later ! It proves a certain consistency of some 'old' members.

A beautiful image. Birds are beautiful. The light and shadows on the grass also deserve mention. And the colors too. : 3:

Beautiful, this is the first time I see a group of these birds. At home I had one that was coming but I was unfortunately never introduced his family.

Thank you. These photos have enabled me to identify these birds in my garden.

> To foo >Reply Jun 21, 2008
The subject is too centered, and the balancing of the lights is pretty average, if you have the opportunity, recompose your image from the VDP original to shifting on the left (the bird from the front) to give the image a better readability and I diminuerais also too much shadow on the bottom of the image, without, cut off their legs. Otherwise, the subject matter is excellent.

This photo is magnificent, in addition, I have the impression that it has just been taken in our garden (we live in the Corrèze), since at this moment, like every night since the beginning of the week, a family of four hoopoes honoured us with his visit for nearly an hour : it is a real delight !!! Since the population of magpies has (almost) deserted our paddocks, they adopt a behavior more and more cheeky (within three metres of us, we admire you (posted behind the glass), sometimes pungent grass in search of worms, sometimes snorting assertion in the gravel of the court). We are delighted, that, like other birds, each year for the past three years, they return to invest in the garden. Thank you for your photo and shared pleasure. Good evening !

There, I'm jealous ! What luck to have these beautiful birds in range of the objective. Please take advantage of it

> Harmony >Reply Jul 10, 2007
Superb plumage of these hoopoes ! I like the bird in the middle : what a beautiful head he has, with his crest erect ! Damage that the herbs hide a portion of the birds !

> Marcel >Reply Jul 10, 2007
The kind of birds is uncommon and this adds interest to your image. Three subjects form a beautiful diagonal. The herbs will mask a little the birds.

> Le fan belfortain [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 10, 2007
It is rare to be able to photograph these magnificent birds that are the 'Hoopoe fasciated' (Upupa epops). With their wings barred black and white, plumage orange-brown, hoopoe erectile and their long beak and sharp, they can not be confused with another bird ! This photo puts very well in value and that is the whole point of the number. Bravo and thank you.

> Nicole.barberon [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 10, 2007
Very nice photo of these birds, they are beautiful and nice and clean. Very difficult to photograph because they do not stay in place. It is a beautiful photo.

> Evalias >Reply Jul 10, 2007
If I put perfect it is that I have tried : a lot is moving these birds and it is very difficult to approach them. Then I found this picture beautiful and it comforts me of the hours spent out hunting with my camera useless in this case. Thank you very much

> Domi [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jul 10, 2007

It is necessary to pass the act, the Camargue awaits you ! Although with the holidays and arrival of tourists, it's starting to be a little less 'intimate'.

> Nenfer13 [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jul 10, 2007
These birds are magnificent, and your photo is very beautiful. Just a small complaint, a lack of brightness that you would have been able to make with your image editing software.
