No need to start at the end of the world to discover astonishing landscapes These colours on a same image are surprising, but the whole is gently in harmony.

Well, yes ! The frost lingers in the grey shaded areas, while the rest exposed to the sun 'heats up'... and I love this kind of contrast.

Usually are the clear parts that are most attractive to the eye, but strangely enough here we're going to more readily a dark side and colorful ! Would we be sensitive to the cold
Beautiful landscape

Awesome, you shot at the right time, this landscape half-sunny, half-frozen is superb. Anne and thank you for this beautiful photo.
> Minimo [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Jan 11, 2013
yep, the sunny side is green, the rest still covered by ice and this gives a nice picture.

a good photo to review the concepts of the adret and ubac and their importance in the organization of the life in mountain (the shady side I've had it with honors ), not to forget the memorable broadcast of it's a knockout : adret against ubac, north against south the green part is not the most aesthetically pleasing and captures the attention of the retina, at the expense of the rest, more fun.

'the green party is not the most aesthetically pleasing and captures the attention of the retina, at the expense of the rest, more fun'. It takes all kinds to make a world, Lou

It is easy to understand the phenomenon by observing the frost still present in the shade of the trees. This set of grey, white, green, I like that.
> Perronnet Catherine [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jan 10, 2013

Awesome , you have once again captured the passing moment with excellent framing on this landscape of the Doubs. Bravo Anne.

The +8 has not had time to warm up to the -8 that has magnificently kept the scars of the cold night...

the shadows retain the pieces of the freeze, lapping up the sunny slopes to try to find the color...
The break is clean between the hot and the cold, it is the extra...
It is well to the compass points on this photo...
