I found this bug last week I was sitting on the grass in my garden Rambouillet (78) when I feel something hard in my pants pocket ... A small doe it was introduced! It was full day. In the photo, I think it shines a lot, but normal if taken at night.

This is a beautiful specimen of the 'Little doe' (Dorcus parallelipipedus), which, apart from the size, looks a lot like the female of the 'Lucane cerf-volant'. Beautiful presentation.

A shell that serves as a reflector damage, the subject was interesting, but perhaps another time.

If there is a next time, it will be flashed just the same as here (and probably elsewhere), the small doe comes out only at night !

Return the flash to its sender, the carapace is armored and does not let the shrapnel. I did not know this little beast and am delighted to make his acquaintance.
