What a lovely veiled woman and this great city call'd Dubai: bravo! : 3:

> Cathygdb >Reply Jun 04, 2011
A picture filled with symbolism. The sea, the boat-building, a red wing on the left lead us to freedom. And remains on the shoreline a woman - or rather, even a black shadow, a silhouette ... Although compound: 3:: 1:

> Lise.gagne12 [G] [P] [C] >Reply Mar 31, 2011
Hello Lumixane. Your photo reminds me so many memories. I lived two years in Saudi Arabia and I could take the same photo in Jeddah on the Red Sea coast. I covered myself from head to toe while the rest of the family (except my eldest 16) bathed in a swimsuit. Unfortunately in Arabia, it is forbidden to take pictures. Bravo! I love your photo. : 6:: 6:: 3:

Good photo with excellent framing. I m moved, if anything otherwise, to make it a subject for one of my paintings. Congratulations. RL.

Ok, you can use: 18: Thanks for your time in this photograph.

The sea? It is nature in motion: Beautiful and free! Here buildings frozen in stark contrast to this beauty so alive. What about this woman? Unlike the sea, its beauty is hidden. His freedom chained ... This contrast, I believe, makes the value of the photo.

Lovely image, beautiful light and veiled women on the sand, well seen.

> Plouf >Reply Nov 08, 2009
+: The Stone Age at 1 level.

-:Modernism in the background. The superposition of these 2 elements is hardly plausible.

> La cri [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Jun 04, 2009
I will not say that the buildings are fond of my 'cup of tea'! But your photo is beautifully made, Lumixane ... you have entered a moment of perfect light and the silhouette is ideally positioned in this picture ... bravo!

Great photo and beautiful contrast between this woman and the civilization that is in front ... : 19:: 3:

> Amethyste06 >Reply Apr 27, 2009
Simply beautiful! We can see the contrast between the beautiful nature in the foreground and right, traditions and culture of origin of country: the veiled woman, and the modern, luxury in all its splendor in the background. Surprisingly, breathtaking, simply sublime: 6: The sea is like a border between the world of luxury and tourism, and the origins of the country. : 2:

> Coco >Reply Apr 02, 2009
: 18: striking contrast between modernity and tradition, however, it succeeded.

> Cémaphore [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Mar 18, 2009
The picture is superb, clear and sharp. When I see this' forest 'of buildings, luxurious certainly my favorite, by far, the beautiful villas of our French Riviera.

She and beautiful but I do not know if the lady in black or if it bothers him to reflect.

I see two cultures, one is pensive. I think I visit Dubai soon.

Nice picture full of contrast between two realities opposed?

> Loula >Reply Aug 25, 2008
Both of contrast and of light, shadow weakly anonymous and impersonal.

> Martine.orian [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
It is a world that I refute, as long as women will not have the right to drive, as they will be wearing these horrid veils, as they consider them as sub-beings. This is only a showcase of the façade where the 'peoples' will as it is chic. Have wire brushed a little to see what's behind it.

> Jasmin [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
Superb shot of these two worlds that oppose each other. The contrast is striking. Thank you for this wonderful documentary photo.

> Heuzeja [G] [P] [C] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
The framing is excellent, although I regret the absence of all shade, certainly other characters in the field, this muslim woman should not be alone. Very beautiful image.

> Domi [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
very beautiful photo of this woman fully covered except for the feet bare, what a contrast between this last and the grand luxury that is Dubai.

> Jacotte [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
A very great photo, Anne, which goes immediately in my favorites. I find it absolutely overwhelming with the contrast between this woman locked in her tradition, and this riot of luxury side !

> Author Lumixane [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
The colors are very cold as rightly pointed Crivindiou, half an hour before sunset on the 29th of January, despite a temperature quite mild. We have a 3 hour time difference with Dubai at this time of the year and 2 hours currently. I have a version N/B that I prefer in fact. Thanks to all for your comments.

This woman is perhaps with nostalgia, its beach front. It is very well taken

Beautiful Image on two worlds sealed. I see through this image a poignant solitude. A big bravo for this cliché.

> Nicole.barberon [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
Two opposite worlds, on the one hand the luxury, and then this veiled woman all dressed in black, barefoot, gives us a feeling of sadness. Superb photo.

> Le fan belfortain [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
Two worlds that everything opposes, but which all the same have in common the beauty of nature. This woman, all in black is the perfect symbol. Beautiful photo by its design, by its execution and by its color. Bravo Anne and thank you.

The Burj Al Arab to visit (very expensive), it would seem ! ?
This veil of concrete and the veil of the woman will respond well in the picture, bravo. there's even a kite-surfing...
The end of the beach in front of the woman seems to me to be ill-defined : there was some distracting elements ?

Yes, Eye of a Lynx, a few distracting elements a Lot of kite surfing at this location during the weekend that begins Thursday evening and ends on Saturday evening. For the visit of the Burj Al Arab, the next time, maybe Our daughter has already had the opportunity to enter.

> Crivindiou [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
Portrait black a cautious lady who fears not, however, to get your feet wet ! This is a very beautiful photo and all of these colors quite cold add a note of pathos to the whole and to my comment !

> Guylaine [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 15, 2008
A very beautiful photo with this veiled woman, and still this water silver the most beautiful effect. I doubt that you could not allow you to stay in this hotel.

> Aralserge [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Apr 14, 2008
The luxurious side and the sea that it belongs to all the world. This woman on the beach seems to dream of some ideal, all is not paradise in the country of PetroDollars.
Very beautiful picture of two worlds in oppostion.

> Sanka [G] [P] [C] [B] [F] >Reply Apr 14, 2008
Of buldings, luxury, and the woman all in black who is the only one on the beach who has watched everything artificial around it.

Of Tradition and modernity. The face of the city has changed but not the traditions.
Garden of Eden or prison golden ??
Very beautiful image, very meaningful.

This is the very large Lumixane , This veiled woman, of which we only see the feet, is overwhelming. And all this abundance of luxury on the horizon line . Even the shadow cut me cold in the back .
