Author 'Didier.roy' (Id 244403 ) : Chamonix : the cave of the sea ice is reduced a little more each year because of global warming.
We can still admire some sculpture. The input here is beautiful bluish color.

Thank you for your visit. There are a lot of elderly people who make the journey, and moving slowly it is quite feasible. In addition to the glacier are at their lowest and I don't think there will be steps further... Good one wants to see your photos . In any case, I wish you all the health it takes to do it, it's worth the detour.

I love the blue color of the ice I was planning to go visit this cave on my next trip to Chamonix at the end of may, but I don't know if my knees are going to love the 500 steps down The glacier is a little further down

I have the answer to my previous question : it is a pity indeed. The sculptors did not know surely that their works would be ephemeral.

In fact the gallery is made up of several caves. Initially the gallery was nearly 1.7 km of tunnel all caves combined.
In 2017, during my visit, there was more than a cave accessible to the public because the ice caves had melted (see my next pictures).
The cave remaining that I was able to visit was, I think, is that approximately a maximum of 200 m of tunnel. That is to say, the disaster due to global warming.
