Author 'Mc69' A voir : a Moment to supprême !!! See trivial to some, but you have to admit that seeing a hawk with a lizard in its beak is a bit banal... This species lives in New Zealand... Moment caught during my stay in Oceania... Thank you for your comments

I do not know for whom it is banal, but not for us who live in Europe.
Beautiful picture of nature, which is to go to join my favorite photos. A pity it was not quite over his eye, but this is compensated by the sharpness on the prey that attracts more the eye.

The little lizard put his arms into a cross as a sign of surrender. Bravo for this very nice jack, Mari carmen, which allows us to detail the plumage of the bird at our leisure.

It is a fact, that sometimes it is necessary to join in the Chance to capture beautiful moments. But if you like to observe nature with patience and passion, it happens sooner or later that happiness passes to reach the trigger. This is the case of this beautiful image.

Thank you Nicole for your comment, very happy to count among my reviews ! You know, I really wanted to contrast the together to tarnish a little more foreground, but after some reflection, I found that it took away its originality... plus I do not like to retouch my photos ! You know when you are full nature you will orders not necessarily all the elements... My first goal was to capture this bird and the icing on the cake with a small lizard in its beak, with the arms on the cross... And that alone is enough to my sorrow ! Husband Carmen

Large faucon'Falco novaeseelandiae' (larger than the pilgrim) for the sexes similar, but male much smaller than female). Endemic to New Zealand, That I hope I have answered your question... On this bird ! Thank you for your comment.

Thanks for the nice comment ! If I say banal it is because of some people... who will always find something to complain about ! Personally I would not change my way of print... I'm still waiting for the right time hoping to have a view just!!!

Thanks for your comment Julie... I am touched ! You know, to answer your question... Oh ! Well I was looking for, hidden under branches to about 30 or 40 metres, there the birds are a little less fierce than in Europe and we can come pretty close... Thanks again ! Mari carmen.
> Nicoledesplat [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 18, 2012
It is extraordinary, majestic, it is a pleasure to see this beautiful raptor in freedom and well-occupied, poor lizard, it has the 'arm-cross' his last salvation, but it is the nature,: 18: , magic moment when you have been able to be there at the right time, too top, thank you The green in the foreground is a little too bright
> D.marsim [G] [P] [C] [F] >Reply Oct 18, 2012
Superb shot, the falcon feasts. Kim will probably be able to tell us the variety.

I don't know how many feet you were from this raptor, and what zoom you have. But the photo is superb.
