Author 'Ninik' (Id 249642 ) : The fig is the fruit of the fig, common (Ficus carica) is a tree of the family moraceae, which is the emblem of the mediterranean basin where it is cultivated since millennia. So I was very surprised to see in my neighborhood.

It is not so cold that it's at home, so I think that fig trees can survive : it will taste when they are ripe.

Unfortunately this will not be possible because this tree is in the garden in front of a house which I do not know the inhabitants.

They will be good to eat when they are ripe (late August I think). Apparently these are white figs, I prefer the purple. Thank You Ninik.
