They are beautiful also in yellow. We have the blue, and these yellow around small lakes in the park with us. It is always very nice and decorative.

Hello Gypsy, what a beautiful iris and so well photographed ; it is an 'Iris Fake Grass', let me explain ; the flower is composed of 3 tepals domestic ties, and 3 tepals outside. Wide.
The tube bent this and can be clearly seen on your shot streaks of brownish.
The center of the flower is made up of 3 styles, greatly enlarged, resembling petals, with a shell in the shape of lips ; these receive the pollen during fertilization.
For the sepals fused them to form a narrow tube containing the nectar is accessible for insects with long trunks.
It is important to know that before the birth of the flower, the seeds of this flower float and are dispersed by water birds.
However, these parts of the seeds are very toxic with a pronounced taste that may endanger the livestock.
